Sunday Update! #56

I read two books this week. House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland and The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon, they were library books and I enjoyed them both. I’m currently reading Assassin’s Apprentice (The Farseer Trilogy #1) by Robin Hobb, which I am half way through and enjoying it.

Sunday Update! #55

I finished my reread of Ruin and Rising (The Shadow and Bone Trilogy #3) by Leigh Bardugo, 5 stars! I then read two books, The Guinevere Deception (Camelot Rising #1) by Kiersten White, 3.5 Stars, and The Companion by Katie Alender, 4.5 Stars. I also read a horror novel, The Bright Lands by John Fram, 4 Stars. I’m currently not reading anything but hoping to start something today.

Sunday Update! #54

I did not feel like reading or blogging last weekend but I’m feeling better. I finished two quick thrillers on my last day off, Until the Day I Die by Emily Carpenter, 3.5 Stars, and Mother May I by Joshilyn Jackson, 4 Stars. I reread Siege and Storm (The Shadow and Bone Trilogy #2) by Leigh Bardugo, 3.5 Stars, and I am currently rereading Ruin and Rising (The Shadow and Bone Trilogy #3) by Leigh Bardugo.

Sunday Update! #53

I was in a reading mood this past week. I finished three thrillers, The Maidens by Alex Michaelides, The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz, and Jane Anonymous by Laurie Faria Stolarz. I also reread, Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo, after watching the new Netflix show. I have not picked a new book yet but I will be reading more of the Shadow and Bone series.

Sunday Update! #52

I managed to read three of my backlist books. I read the thriller, Behind Every Lie by Christina McDonald, 4 Stars. I read the own voices Young Adult novel, All-American Muslim Girl by Nadine Jolie Courtney, 5 Stars. I then read the memoir, Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah, 5 Stars. I’m currently reading The Maidens by Alex Michaelides but have not been in the mood to read lately.

Sunday Update! #51

My reading picked up in the last week. However, I’ve been focusing on reading larger books and finishing series. I finished The Mask Falling (The Bone Season #4) by Samantha Shannon, 5 stars! I loved that so I moved on to The Burning God (The Poppy War, #3) by R.F. Kuang, 4.5 Stars. They were both library books and great additions to both series. I am hoping to pick up more of backlist titles in the upcoming week!

I had a slow reading month in March and I’m hoping to read more in April. I finished a few titles since I posted a Sunday Update! I finished Alone in the Wild (Rockton #5) by Kelley Armstrong, 5 Stars, The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow, 3.5 Stars, The Truth About Melody Browne by Lisa Jewell, 4 Stars, The Girls in the Garden by Lisa Jewell, 4 Stars, A Curse So Dark and Lonely (Cursebreakers #1) by Brigid Kemmerer, 3.5 Stars, and Full Disclosure by Camryn Garrett, 5 Stars. My reading as already picked up during this first week of April, I finished three books. I’m currently reading two titles, The Mask Falling (The Bone Season #4) by Samantha Shannon.

Sunday Update! #49

I had a better reading week but still did not finish that many books. I read the adult Fantasy novel, Empire of Sand (The Books of Ambha #1) by Tasha Suri. I also read The Girl the Sea Gave Back (Sky in the Deep #2) by Adrienne Young, a interesting YA Fantasy novel. I’m currently reading another NetGalley ARC, Alone in the Wild (Rockton, #5) by Kelley Armstrong.

Sunday Update! #48

I had a slow reading week. I finished my 2018 ARC of The Light Between Worlds by Laura E. Weymouth, it was an okay YA Fantasy novel. I made it half most half way through Empire of Sand (The Books of Ambha #1) by Tasha Suri and I am hoping to finish it soon. I dnfed one of my older books on my physical TBR, All Is Not Forgotten by Wendy Walker. It was too graphic for me. I am hoping to get more reading done next week!
