Meme From That Artsy Reader Girl
Books That Make Me Smile/Cute Books #67
Tweet Cute by Emma Lord. YA Contemporary. I do not read many cute or romantic contemporary novels but I adored this one. I was approved for her next novel, You Have a Match.
The Rest of the Story by Sarah Dessen. YA Contemprary. I’ve grown out of reading YA (I still read a few, mainly hard hitting contemporary) but I always read Dessen’s latest novels. She was my favorite author in high school/early teens. She always writes romance/cute things but tends to add in important topics, like dealing with grief.
What You Wish For by Katherine Center. Romance. I rarely read romance but after reading Things You Save in a Fire last year I knew I wanted to read more from Center. And this is currently the cutest and best romance books I’ve read so far. It beat out The Unhoneymooners from last year.
Bloom by Kevin Panetta, Savanna Ganucheau (Illustrator). YA Contemporary. I bought and loved this graphic novel last year.
Only Mostly Devastated by Sophie Gonzales. YA Contemporary. I knew I wanted to check this one out because of the Grease retelling aspect. I lucked out and got both an earc and a physical arc. It was a cute read.
Comics Will Break Your Heart by Faith Erin Hicks. YA Contemporary. I adored this YA romance last year. I’m hoping that Hicks writes more novels in the future.
Princess Jellyfish, Vol. 1 by Akiko Higashimura. Manga. I’m really bad at finishing all types of series but I managed to read all of Princess Jellyfish. I adored it.
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (Creekwood #1) by Becky Albertalli. YA Contemporary. I’ve read this popular contemporary romance twice, physical and audio book and watched the film. I loved the romance.
I Owe You One by Sophie Kinsella. My favorite romance of 2018 and my favorite novel by Kinsella.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before Series by Jenny Han. YA Romance. This is classic and cute series.
